REVIEW: My Chemical Romance- Danger Days: True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys
My Chemical Romance's latest album, Danger Days: True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys that will be released next Monday, has been leaked on YouTube from their official channel. Overall, the album is just plain amazing, with their new age rock sound, and synth. They do have their old style in a few of their songs but this album is just unbearably insane because I have never heard anything like this before. The first few songs are okay but towards the end it starts getting to the good stuff. The only thing bad about this album is a few songs get old really fast because those few I listened way before the other stuff came out, and I hope the other songs don't get old quickly also, because they are just plain amazing. You can hear the album here.
1. Look Alive Sunshine- Can't review this one because it's an intro to the album. Really cool intro though.
2. Na Na Na- 3/5 Heard this song around August or September, good song but gets old really fast. Enjoy it while you can.
3. Bulletproof Heart- 5/5 Amazing song, just plain amazing. An easy listen for anyone.
4. SING- 3/5 Honestly I can't say much about this. It sounded good at first and I thought I would like it forever but I honestly already got sick of it, because I heard it as soon as it came out. Gets older faster than Na Na Na, so it's good about 2 or 3 good listens before it gets old.
5. Planetary (GO!)- 4/5 Great song, really different from their old stuff though, takes a couple listens to get used to.
6. The Only Hope For Me Is You- 3/5 You know, I really hate saying this so much but also this song got old for me too. It was amazing back then when I listened to it, but now it gets on my nerves to listen to it.. I hate trashing this song but it's the truth.
7. Jet Star and the Kobra Kid/ Traffic Report- Can't review this either, just another talking thing Dr. Death is doing, not a real song.
8. Party Poison- 5/5 If I had a third runner up for this album this would be it. Great song hard rock and rough guitar riffs and a sweet chorus. Weird opening though... Can't really understand the Japanese or Chinese girl talking, I really don't know why that's there...
9. Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back- 6/5 I really honestly think this is the best song I have ever heard, it's just incredible it's immaculate. I just love the opening guitar riff it just makes me want to jam to it, I have a feeling this could be a hit.
10. S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W 5/5- Really cool song, never thought that MCR would use synth or could change this much but it's for the good. Can't wait to get this on my iPod.
11. Summertime- 5/5 I bet I could listen to this song everyday and it would never get old. It's perfect in every way. It's slow and I would reccomend this to ANYONE.
12. DESTROYA- 4/5 Pretty cool song, weird listen at first but I got used to it, and I love listening to it.
13. The Kids From Yesterday- Can't review this yet because I haven't listened to it enough to really get a good review yet. Pretty sweet intro though. I'll finish the review on this and Vampire Money tomorrow.
14. Goodnite Dr Death- Can't review this either, it's the outro to the album.
15. Vampire Money- See "The Kids From Yesterday" review.
Best song on album: Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back
Runner-up best song: Summertime
Overall Rating: 10/10
